Visiting International Volunteers are individuals from outside Zimbabwe who travel to partner with Viva Network Zimbabwe (VNZ) in grassroots development work. These volunteers are immersed in Zimbabwean communities, placed with trusted host families, and engaged in meaningful, hands-on service aligned with local needs.

Volunteers typically support projects in areas such as:
- Education and tutoring
- Child protection advocacy
- Health and hygiene awareness
- Agriculture and sustainability
- Youth mentorship and life skills development

Cultural Immersion
Living with a host family offers volunteers a unique opportunity to experience Zimbabwean life, customs, food, and community rhythms firsthand. It promotes mutual learning and fosters deep cross-cultural relationships.

Community Engagement
Volunteers are placed in areas where their skills, interests, and passions align with current project needs. This matching process ensures both community impact and personal fulfillment.

Time Commitment
Most placements run from 2 to 4 months, with 3 months being ideal for meaningful integration and contribution. Custom durations may be considered on request.

Support from VNZ
VNZ offers comprehensive support, including:
- Pre-arrival orientation
- Project matching and preparation
- Host family placement
- Ongoing mentorship and safety guidance
