Description:

Volunteers in this role help power the mission of VNZ by securing vital financial resources through strategic writing and donor engagement. If you’re passionate about storytelling, impact-driven writing, or fundraising, this is an opportunity to make a lasting difference—without leaving your desk.

Key Responsibilities
i.) Research and Identify Funding Opportunities
+ Search for grant opportunities from foundations, embassies, international organizations, and development agencies.
+ Track open calls for proposals, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application procedures.
ii.) Draft and Edit Grant Proposals
+ Write compelling, structured proposals that clearly communicate VNZ’s mission, programs, community needs, and expected impact.
iii.) Support Online Fundraising Campaigns
+ Collaborate on creating engaging crowdfunding or peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
+ Help write campaign descriptions, donation appeals, and email updates for donors.
iv.) Assist with Donor Communication
+ Draft thank-you letters, donor reports, or success stories.
+ Help maintain a record of donor interactions and reporting schedules.

Time Commitment
+ 5–8 hours per week depending on project size or deadlines.
+ Flexible schedule with suggested duration of at least 1–3 months, with the option to extend based on available projects.

Impact of Your Work
+ Your words will unlock opportunities for children, youth, and communities across Zimbabwe. Each successful grant or donation can:
+ Launch or expand youth empowerment programs.
+ Support vulnerable families with food, education, or health services.
+ Enable local volunteers to reach remote communities.
+ Fund digital tools for VNZ to scale its impact.

You’re not just writing proposals—you’re opening doors to a brighter future for hundreds of lives.
